i agree that any fella can drive straight. but to get the correct
traction and launch the car to achieve the optimum straightline
timing, that takes skills.
btw, a 220 hp NA DC 5 engine is much more impressive piece of
machinery than a 211 hps supercharged Works-S mini engine in any
sense of comparison.[/b]
hey only the Type R DC5 has 220bhp man...... top of the range
works-S vs top of the range Type-R
like if it can't measure up then it can't measure up.... no sense
talking about modded DC5s.... there are Hamann Coopers out there
which will blow the teeth out from JGTC DC5s.....
in any sense.... the only wonder of the DC5 engine is that its not
blown and its pumping out 220bhp... which translates to higher fuel
consumption and wear and tear everytime u decide to drive lead-foot
style right? and handling wise.... sorry the DC5 ain't there with
the cooper... maybe almost there but not quite... not many cars can
reach the well respected handling capabilities of the cooper...
only other cars i dare praise in light of the cooper's handling is
the elise, and the focus RS. i agree that its a more impressive
piece of machinery, but impressive does not equate to making
sense.... impressive is what those F1 V10 engines are.... making
sense is what they ain't.
as for dragging... well its still easier to learn how to do a good
launch than to take a corner at the maximum limit... and the way to
take a corner is deifnately NOT with a tailslide...
