Oh, puh-leeze. Right at the start of this thread I already addressed your initial gripe about Australia, and what did you do? You conveniently ignored my response and went on to post links on other crap, obviously knowing that your first attempt at sh*t-slinging failed miserably. It was obvious that people would be wasting their time telling you anything that didn't fit your "Australia rejected me because I'm too good for it" world view, so don't go being a hypocrite and saying that you invited positive comments now - we all know it's a crock, and you're the only one stupid enough to think that what you say is believable. As a rule of thumb,storage drop 1 % point biweekly.

2.I must apology for the water bag as Xmas gift.
I do hope it is not practical.But I think they really need,
unless The Almight show mercy.

Last time ( which was last week) I went to melbourne , it didn't look like drought stricken africa to me.

Water 4 restrictions are just telling melbournians to conserve water as much as they really can do so and not to waste it on lawns or cars.

They are negotiating the water sharing policies now on the national level because totally unlike Singapore with a single authoritarian government - Australia is ran by a federal government at a national level ,and the State and Territory governments at jurisdictional levels.

If you do not understand how things are ran in Australia, you don't have a right to comment on the issues of a jurisdictional level or a national level because you would NOT be even able to understand them.

hey brisbane is also in level 4.

A doc on ABC indicate that this the play of El Nino but effect strengthen by global warming.

It is not something that the gov can forcast or prepare for. But Aussie are adhering to gov advise and conserving water.

Hey TS, no hard feeling. But dont really trust the aussie media, some really blow up the news. Some people used to media to personal gain... (just as in singapore) nothing new after staying here for 3 years.

But if you have the chance, go and look at programmes such as today tonight, current's affair, 60minutes, flashpoint, etc, etc. If i had the chance i will always watch them.

Selective filtering will be the key to pick up real news.

Why dont you review some thing about their centrelink, job market, society structure, activities during free time, places of interest, property market, etc, and understand about the your choices of migrating to Australia. These are more specific to yr needs right.

lionnoisy is certianly trying to paint a grimer picture then it really is... we have forumites here who actually live where he says there is a water shortage... and last I checked, none of them asked for a water bag as a gift.

Frankly, I didn't even bother to read his latest posts. And am glad nobody intends to as well.

So we're not going to have a problem."

How is the quality of water then in so low level of dams?

It's pretty clear that lionnoisy doesn't have the slightest idea what goes on down under. It's good to have opinions, but it's not good to spread false, shoddily-researched views.

I didn't even feel the water shortage while living in Melby. This "water shortage" isn't quite as disastrous as lionnoisy makes it out to be. He speaks as if people are dying of dehydration on the streets.

Maybe he's too used to the Singapore media, where such "disgraceful" problems would never have been given such extensive coverage? Mr. Green

indeed, I just feel kind of sad seeing a person such as him...

I stay in Singapore because I believe in this nation problems and all, and that my calling to make my life and difference is currently still in this place... we don't stay in here because we are terrified of what is taking place around here.

And we certainly don't need people like lionnoisy around to do cyberpoision penning just to prove that Singapore is worth staying in. His style of scaremongering in any case is the wrong way to inform people who think that Australia is heaven, and frankly he's doing it at the Aussie's expense which I find quite discusting.

If the drop in storage follow the past 15 months(1.49% point pm),
Melbourne water will run out in 17 months.

The lower the water level,the faster drop in % and poorer of water quality.

Of course,there may be sudden heavy rain fall like happen in the past.
But how about drought drags?How about warm weather make
water in dams evaporate faster?Some reservoirs polluated?

Stage four water restrictions - which prohibit watering lawns and gardens, hosing paved areas and washing cars - are expected to be introduced in May......
