Outsourcing our ministers' jobs doesn't seem as stupid as it
sounds.
Our ministers say that they need to pay the best people to do the
job, and to pay they the amount they are likely to earn in the
private sector. They never mention that S'pore's ministers must
have 'passion' to serve.
In this case, we can look for the best people all over the world to
work as our ministers. If people accuse us of giving our ministers'
jobs to foreigners who may be 'unpatriotic', please be reminded
that even our own ministers now do not talk about 'serving
with a passion'. Therefore, foreigners without passion for
S'pore, but with the skills to make her even more successful, would
be as good for S'pore's ministerial posts (if not better than),
than money-drive (passion-untested) S'porean candidates.
