most of their rivers are poisoned, they choose to use obsolete
energy-generating methods when they could have started with the
low-emissions type, they chose a lot of things where their
philosophy was "growth at any costs"
now, they have to attempt to fix the mess, but probably are unable
to.. but their "growth at any costs" philosophy has still not been
abandoned..
