Spores National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan recently
talked about Spores population going up from the current 4.5m to
6.5m in the future. Mah said Singapore will not be
bursting at the seams when that happens.
Logic at work here: Spore has 690km2 of land. Divide that up with
6,500,000 people, 9500 people per square kilometer. Cosy enough for
you?
But I suppose if you are living in a huge bungalow shared by 4-5
people, you won't really feel the 'crush', would you?
Please Minister Mah, please don't patronise me! I live in a small
apartment shared by quite a few others, and I know what 'crowded'
means. Don't tell me that S'pore won't burst at the seams unless
you come live with me. Oh...please don't take that as a serious
invitation.....
