In order to lead a
relatively comfortable life in Singapore, I consider the minimum
salary to be $3.5 - 5k per mth a person.
If you're supporting 2 kids, the income should be at least double that range. Usually
that means 2 parents will have to work.. so if one goes out of a
job for a long time at any point in time, the family risks falling
right into the debt trap.
