Taken with Nikon D100. At West Lake, Hangzhou, many of such boats
can be seen patrolling the lake transporting goods and people
across this iconic locale. This particular boat saw me
photographing him, so he paddled the boat near me. Taken in the
evening when the sun was setting.

In Shanghai, many of the shops there are hidden unceremoniously
behind stone walls and wooden doors. This one shows an eatery,
although the food cannot be seen. I wanted to capture the rickety
buildings there when I chanced upon this scene. We held eye contact
for a while, as the local peered on the foreigner. Taken with a
Nikon D100.

Taken at Wuzheng, China. This is an unusual scene, as it portrays
the state police sharing a light moment with one of the peasants of
this small water town. The peasant seemed rather intrigued by
technology, oblivious to me and my camera, allowing me the
privilege of capturing this picture. Taken with a Nikon D100.

Hangzhou, China. The many pagodas that dot the city are less
powerful than this one, which stands proudly over the iconic West
Lake of the city. Much of the tourism life revolves around this
lake, making this particular pagoda a well-known one in Hangzhou.

Suzhou, China. One of the highlights of my trip there was a
performance held at a historical theatre. I forgot the name of the
show, but it was about the history of Suzhou and required payment
to enter. I was particularly stunned by the use of laser technology
in the show, and even though photography wasn't allowed, I knew I
had to sneak a shot like that. Taken with a Nikon D100.
