Camera kits

Pitot SG

Lai lai, pls pump more blood here. Got lotsa photographers here.

Anyway, I just bought my first DSLR. 350D. A pretty reasonable camera for a novice and student.

As you all know, the kit comes with a zoom lens only.
I got a free cannon tripod too.

But i still lack cleaning tools, dry boxes and all.

Can you guys recommend me places to get them? Good deals. Wink

Buy it from the same shop you bought the camera lah. Or you could try places like Cathay Photo (Peninsula Plaza) or John 3:16 (Funan Centre). Get an electric dry box like the digicabi. A good camera bag is a must, but you need to try out several at the shop before you'll know what is suitable for you.

Ok. But right now i only have my camera and my zoom lens. Is it absolutely nessacary for me to have a dry box? I dont think its worth the investment if I'm getting other lens in the future.

I misspoke. I mean dry cabinet, the kind you have to plug into a wall outlet.

And a dry cabinet is a very important investment because that is where you're keeping your expensive gear when you're not using it. Much cheaper to pay for a dry cabi than to pay to clean mould from your lenses.

And stick to your zoom lens for a while first. Don't be sucked into buying multiple lenses too early. Learn to use it well and you will have a better idea of what you want to buy later on.

ok sure.
