Never judge a person by its certificate. There is a difference between study smart and working smart. Not all scholars are good leaders.

Intelligence has little (or no) relation to leadership qualities.

Nonetheless, I'd rather have a smart leader, than a not-so-smart leader. A leader not only has to get the job done well, he has to be able to hold intelligent talk and discussion with other leaders. Diplomacy and stuff, you know?

Rich and leader are 2 different categories. Unless by leader, you mean the leaders of the economy, then okay. Point taken.

most of them were scholars because of the mistakened belief by lau lee so many years ago...

and then, perpetuated by that belief that they the scholars, are the elite, they keep bringing up similar people...
