if steve jobs was born in Singapore

Bontakun SG

And the items will have spikes...

Hogzilla SG

Wrong!!

GUI will still come out, but at a later date by another person, another company (I heard that Xerox and IBM were close to developing GUI, but Bill and Steve got there first)

Cystaire SG

I don't quite like Steve Jobs actually, he is a frightening perfectionist micro-manager.

Bill Gates is actually trained in programming, and has strategic vision. Plus he has contributed more to society, whether it is an act or not.

if Bill, Steve and Donald were born in Singapore in this time and age and believe that they drop out of school, born in middle to low class non elite familys and such things etc.. Do you think they would make it this big as they did in USA or they might just end up as the road sweeper or toilet clean?

if shakespear were born in this time period in singapore, if he were to write his plays about our government. Do you think our government will leave him alone? Do you think he will not receive warning for using Singlish, or NKF will not file a lawsuit against him for writing about their gold taps?

people here don't get the scarcism or the dry humour and succulent writing that requires someone to read between the lines....
Sigh.... I need a MUSE!

Cystaire SG

Muses tend to be busty hot babes. Twisted Evil

Want one?

NTNP!

kilua SG

i dont dislike bill gates but his company spends 4 billion on R&D a year, and all they do is copy apple and google.

Cystaire SG

NPNT = No Picture No Talk

NTNP = ??? No Tua-neh No Pick???

If that's the case, your muse should be:

if i am not wrong, he is the founder of the Apple, currently the CEO of Apple;

his career stroy is very funny...
he found the Apple, but was kicked out of Apple some time later; then he found another compnay, after some time, it was acquired by Apple; so he was back to Apple then after some time, became the CEO; during his CEO time, ipod, imac are out to the market and last month, i-phone is introduced but was sued by CISCO the day after... Laughing

Cool

As I said, both Steve and Bill are hackers. What makes them different, is their personalities.

Bontakun SG

Wah... so drama... Y Mediacorp no thought of this and make it into one?

ndmmxiaomayi SG

Bill isn't a creative person... rather, he's a technical person...

Ever wonder why Linux looks so much Windows but not Mac, despite being a Unix-based OS? Laughing

ndmmxiaomayi SG

He IS NOT the founder of Apple. He is a CO-FOUNDER. I can't remember the other guy's last name, but his first name is Steve as well. The other Steve is also quite a geek and very creative like Jobs. He once worked at Dreamworks and founded another creative company, doing animation. Mr. Green

gasband SG

I believe it is Steve Tan Kim Chuan.

maurizio13 SG

Is it because of the processor? Linux and Windows started from X86 based system, whereas Mac OS started from Motorola 68000 processors.

nismoS132 SG

it because many of linux users are trying to make windows alternatives to pull over windows users, so they tend to make them look similar. but linux works like OS X, or rather, OS X works like linux.

NuLife SG

Kid, the other steve is Steve Wozniak.
He is only the co-founder of Apple.
Steve Jobs is the GUY who started Apple, bought Pixar before it could walk and help bring it to the world.
He also founded NeXT Computer (which was acquired by apple and become the
foundation of OS X now).

Steve Wozniak was the engineering brain behind Apple first computer.
Steve Jobs was the idea, product and marketing brain behind
Apple first computers, imac, iPod, and now iPhone and AppleTV.

All that we have now from computer mouse, windows, ipod, and animation movies were somehow brought to life by Steve Jobs, directly or indirectly.

Tiggerific SG

Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne are the other 2 co-founders. Cool
