Hi,
The rotary engines comes in many variations, the 12A NA, 12A turbo,
13B NA, 13B turbo s4, 13B turbo s5, 13B turbo Cosmo, 13B Turbo Rew,
20B turbo. These are the cheapest engine to modify to get huge
power gains, basically play around with portings, mild, birdge,
perhiperal. In a 13B NA with perhiperal port will give you about
300+hp, and on a 20B will get you 400+. If you look at the drag
scene in Down under, you'll notice that the rotaries are the
dorminating ones there, 800hp with turbo, but no NOS. Rotary
engines needs very large turbos to give optimum power, sometimes
even larger than wat the Supra can use, look at the Garrett GT42.
The life span of these engines are rather short if portings are
done. So if cheap power is wat you are looking at, then it's the
right direction that you are facing. But remember the Fuel
consumption is worse than a Ferrari.
Cheers.
