Fellow forumers this is nothing new

Since the start of the MRT project, the LTA has engaged FT (especially from England) to design, implement, supervise, test and commission it. So this is nothing new.

I wont discredit the FT as they had actually brought their experience over here; Experience of designing and managing infrastructure of such scale.

But evaluation of SG public transportation system ??? by aussie ???

There are more cars in aus then dogs and cats combined. Most of the aussie owned a car (legal driving age 16 (L plates)) and with prices as low as $80 you can tow an old car away from an auto auction site in Brisbane. Get it certified and you can drive it on the road. Try doing that in Singapore.

And most of this consultants that are doing up the report drives to work every single day in SG. What sort of report will they produce???

Why not the LTA listen to locals who take the public everyday, WHAT IS THEIR OPINION on the system. And why the hell do we need to spend the citizens hard earn money to engage FT to do a job the locals can do ??

Maybe not the public, but what about the polytechnics and universities. Make it part of a research grant and ask the local to research for an answer. These are researches that will help to create better system, just like what DSTA, DSTO, etc are doing for the army

SG elites should sometime look for local talents before sourcing externally.

The way sinkapore is running....The elites of high ranking civil servants were actually getting info, experiences and IDEALS from ground staff. subsequently, they turned it into it was their ideals and claimed all the credits.

This was what had happened in HDB....they had brain storming sessions called QCC, gather all the ground staff experiences, feedback, proposals and improvement of ideals and executions.
Now you see....who claimed most of the credits for themselves?
