GHoST_18 SG dun worry what is the cut off points for the respective courses... juz try to aim for a good grade then decide... if u got "low" grades... then you have more courses to choose from...

COP?[/b]Have some confidence in yrself... "O" levels not very diff 1 lah... at least tats wat i thought when i took mine few years back... as to which course to take depends on where yr interest lies... for my case.. i like design so i took up architecture... Do some thing u enjoy doing n not something which u think have better prospect in the future... coz over time... the demand might change n when you grad... wat u r doing might be outdated liao... like yr job n u dun have to work another day...
skyline_05 SG I tot of inerior deisgn....architecture oso....coz i like to design stuff.....but i'm in a confuse state now.....
|-|05| SG COP for mechanical is damn high dun worry…it’s traditionally the dumping ground for all the other rejects…..heh
zeus83 SG well that's cos the intake amount for engineering is always high. Btw, if you have natural talent in maths and have the interest, go for it. personally, if you have the cash, go up north to Sunway College, or some college in MY, do a mechanical or car engin. course for 2 yrs. Then go to Uk, Coventry's good, to get yr car engin. deg. for 2 yrs.
|-|05| SG Yea true.....Singapore's educaion system is very ridge(sic). But you'd need to put up a bond for NS so it's kinda hard....bah.And yes it's a dumping ground due to high intake and also cause not many people want it.Heck in my class of 20 only like 9 ppl actually wanted it!!And those are the guys that are passing the subjects.Since you have interest go for it man...just do you best can liaoz. The better u get the more options u get so just do as well as u can!
[email protected] SG what do u want to learn? general mechanical knowledge? automotive mechanical knowledge? or even more specialised? I'm taking motorsport engineering in a london uni next year.
skyline_05 SG i dunno leh....automotive or aeronautical loh......de rest...nt vv interested,,,,architecture oso i dun mind
zeus83 SG dude, it's good you narrowed down your choises, aeronautical= good Engin. maths. automotive= soso engin maths. Average Creativity. Architecture= over saturated market in SG, Requires high amounts of creativity. btw, you can always go into NS early. A lot of my friends have become more diciplined and focused. then head abroad for a "proper" education. I've given up on the local education system.
GHoST_18 SG Dun have to worry about the job demand... there is always a demand for jobs... juz tat at diff times the demands for certain jobs are diff... in my opinion... there are no saturated market for specific industry... in Singapore, as long as you are wiling to work... you will not starve to death... at the moment... juz focus on your studies... dun get distracted by all these unnecessary worries... U CAN DO IT...!!!
