To many singaporean chinese, their dialect is either Mandarin or
Singlish...
Luckily I am fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. (In the chinatown of
other cities such as Vancouver and San Francisco, Cantonese is the
default language. In fact, the number of Cantonese speakers around
the world is around 70 million, more than many national languages
such as Polish, Swedish, Thai, etc...)
