People in Singapore cannot think... they have been brain washed
since young. It is in the textbook, history book and in all media.
Singapore is just marginally better than a communist ran country,
but even then soon China will surpass Singapore in terms of
freedom.
I understand that it is not easy to have a fully democratic society
in Asian countries. Asians unlike the westerners are used to being
ruled by autocracy leaders if not dictatorship. However, as the
societies mature and so are the people more affluent in the western
values, people will start to demand democracy in their
countries.
Sadly, people in Singapore do not see that. They (most of them) are
just apathy to freedom and the notion of equality. Singapore
society typifies George Orwell's "Animal Farm"... and guess what
there will be no sympathy from the rest of the world because you
guys are just to gutless to change. All you forumers can talk but
when it comes to action (voting time), many of you guys just vote
PAP!...
So, guess what do you get, higher GST, public transport fares,
etc.... serve you right!
