Well, another rise in cost of living. I am planning to start blog to keep chronicles of all the these changes so that we can remember them well during next election. Any help with the listing would be appreciate.

Maybe you can explain on behalf of LTA why motorist already paying road tax still needs to pay ERP charges?

Why is it now cheaper to drive through CBD than using the expressway; defeating the original intention of expressways (to bypass traffic from CBD)?

Why there is ERP in orchard now, discouraging motorist to enter before 8pm? Workers are going home later as a result. How to have family time and procreate?

Don't tell me about easing traffic congestions because research has been done and showed that it is ineffective.

And btw, this thread is about rising cost in Singapore, not solely about ECP charges to rise.

next LTA will claim credit for making ECP a less congested highway but had to raise the ERP for PIE coz PIE speed had gone down.

The solution is not to give out so many COEs. COE is a never ending form of revenue for the govt.

How not to give out so many COEs? Start a legislation which forbids a low minimum downpayment. Govt won't do that. Why? More COEs means more revenue. The govt chose this route and now we have to pay the price of congestion. LPPL

Ok, I will help TS by pay more attention for any increase / decrease in price / tax / whatever we need to pay (petroleum not counted, that one is LPPL, not within Gahmen’s control).

U mean why COE was implemented? The primary purpose was to control the car population.
