Dealing with terrorism and unemployment

I am suggesting this idea:
At the moment, Singapore is facing a 2 front battle with the above 2 problems.
Dr Tony Tan has said before: "It's not whether Singapore will be hit by terrorism but when Singapore will be hit."
By reviewing the above, we can understand Singapore's war against terrorism is a losing battle unless we have the technology as well as the manpower to deal with it.
Technology is of course a problem that we cannot deal with but manpower is something we have as there are indeed many unemployed or temporary employed in Singapore. We can train such people to be experts in recognising and dealing with terrorist tactics and equipment and employ them gainfully as anti-terrorism sercurity forces.
So far, this is the only solution I can think of unless Singapore is prepared to use Israel's Mossad techniques against terrorism.

Succinct...but then again , who is going to police the police?
ISD again? Maybe but on the same lines as the Mossad, so they couldn't step out of line. If it works, we could set it as a military contractor to foreign countries.

I feel terrorism is very overhyped.

Terrorism is the problem of the Western countries.

Based on basic reasons, which we shouldnt discuss too much.

It can also happen in countries like Indonesia, southern Phillipines, southern Thailand, all due to their own unique conditions and reasons.

I dont think Singapore is really under threat of terrorism.

It is more like a little over-reaction, a little exaggeration.

Dr Tony Tan statement is a little funny.

This is just treating the symtoms... The long term solution to putting an end to terrorism must be based on a battle of ideology.

It remains the duty of the adherents of each religion to ensure that their faith is not used as a justification for terrorists to kill and murder.

Due to our constitution, we can only at most treat the symptoms. We have too many vague issues in Singapore and not enough answers. Deviant groups are appearing and disappearing like fog, so it's hard to deal with them directly.

Religion is thus righteous to the self-righteous. Unless we ban all religions altogether, there is no long term solution. As long as one religion appears to malign and present false information about another, there will still be a justification for terrorists to kill and murder.
