The government should help to identify the poor... e.g on why those ppl can't afford to pay out the PUB bills.....instead of just cut off the supply....

To them, the poor is secondary in their eyes. I tell u. Some set up stalls in pasah malam to sell things for a few bucks everyday, the whole entire freakin' day is one way the government encourage the poor to survive. Not to succeed, but to survive.

It look like Singapore is a first world country, A rich places for rich people. Especially when you see the people wearing big coat walking along Raffles Place, and Always talking Money Money Money. Is the Money that matter?
But in fact there is so many POOR people around, the old feeble people selling tissue paper, people with no home.........no one help them.

The big question our Government is probably concerned about now is , Why is this being reported and discussed so Openly ?

I understand Mrs Ho ,a MP of WC GRC will bring this matter for debate in Parliament.

The WC CDC which rejected their application for help in the first instance shld be shooted 2 death!!!!

The schools Principals should also to be blamed for laking the sight of telling tailes when the deceased childern cant afford 2 pay school fees 4 very months!!!

With the electricity n water bills of S$ 1ooo plus and the 4 moths unemployment composed.

Alls the above lead to a life lost in Spore which in my view shd not be happening in Spore.

i feel that the govt should not just send out arrear reminders to household that are months behind for their bills, instead, they should send social workers(PROACTIVE) to check out on the actual situation of the families.

This incident could have been avoided if the source of problem is nipped in its bud.

Keep saying various forms of aid and help(PASSIVE) are available does not help.

I think the schools should also must take a proactive role 2 alert the social workers for those pupils who did not pay for school fee for more than say 3 months.

Chartitable orgs might hve to pull 2gether their resourses 2 operate a canteen for the real poor provided them with foods either donated by the food stallholers n/o kopitiums

As I m planning to retire next year, Any orgs which can provide a place foc I will like to call upon those who like to donate foods for the poors.

Any more ideas for the good cause!!
