What went wrong over the past 41 years?

Human nature is at fault.

Government declared non-welfare policy,

But failed to recognise that in non-welfarism,

Since it professes not to lend a helping hand to citizens

For goodness sake, it should at least not over-tax or burden them with high costs,

So that citizens' survival is possible by their own means,

Instead government keeps taxing and recovering all costs

It simply keeps taking from the citizens,

It thinks of ways and means to take and never give

By taxing it taxes the big ticket item like in housing and vehicles ownership,

Leaving citizens defenseless against unemployment,

Government helps itself to go into business and competes against citizens,

It taxes big-ticket items like double charge on land in HDB housing

And triple taxes on vehicles which result in each family

Paying S$500,000-S$800,000 in its life span,

These are the monies citizens need for retirements or

Safety net against unemployment,

So government does not help its citizens,

But competes against their building of retirements of social security,

Under such a system, citizens do not have enought saving on their own,

Yet for 41 years, government keeps increasing costs of living,

Through corporatization of essential government services,

To allow itself free from spending on citizens' needs and public services,

It is the double charging and over-recovering of costs against citizens

Which cause the high barrier of survival in non-welfare corporatize all basic services pushing all the burdens to citizens.

In the mean time government continues to regart its tax surpluses which are accumulated to pay themselves the highest NKF peanuts

The whole government is freeing itself from governing

It is now using all its power to tax and recover and citizens have ontinue to bear the burdens.

why not using votes to change to what u want.

never rely on foreign money or influences to win votes.

our billions of $$ attract many foreigners or even locals to
win the ruling powers and get the money.

"with the education sg given u" - a study shows that Singaporean students score brilliantly in academic at the Primary levels, but perform miserably at the Tertiary Level.

Why is this happening to our Tertiary Education System that do not produce "THINKING SINGAPOREANS" ?

Is the Ruling Party too afraid of Singaporeans who can THINK ?

Unfortunately, no other countries practise the same "GENEROURS WELCOMING POLICY" - with wide open arms - to all "QUALIFIED FOREIGNERS" that will compete with their own citizens.

What do you think he has done with those foreign money collected ?

Will Singaporeans come under suspicion simply for being employed in foreign countries ?

Is it not quite cynical to empty Singapore of all political threats to the Ruling Party, by encouraging more potential and capable Singaporeans to go overseas and be employed ?

Are you questioning the integrity of every Singaporean who is prepared to step forward into POLITICS and dedicate themselves to serve Singaporeans and Singapore ?

If we are to follow your manner of thinking, we will need to question also the integrity of the RULING PARTY and its Elitist Membership for their ruthless manner to prevent anyone else from breaking their monopolistic grip on POLITICS too.

Have they been counting the 'billions of $$' for too long, and becoming too familiar with the MILLION DOLLAR SALARY that they have been paying themselves ?

Can Singaporeans do anything that we think is right ?

You should qualify that "anything that is right by the standards of the Ruling Party, can be done".

Perhaps, with the truth soon to spill out on the extent of the losses from the Shin Corp transaction, Singaporeans will soon do what we think is right.
