Married age 38 male PE teacher,posted as age 24, intercoursed with age 12 girl at her home in the first meeting,after ICQ chit chat. case no.DCCC448/06.

Penalty :16 months for intercourse with girl below age 13 and other 4 months for possession of child pron.Total imprisonment 20 months.

The girl is wrong for inviting him to her home when she was alone.

2.Is the penalty too light?What is penalty in Sg and pl quote real cases here.

Different law mah. Just like drug trafficking here carries the death penalty while only a rather short jail term in Australia.

the above case is having sex with a minor, not rape.

the penalty is less than 10 years.

A 10 year old has no ability for CONSENT - hence it is regarded as RAPE.

2.News reported that the girl is 12 years old.
i think in most countries,if not all countries,even a consensus sex with
12 years girl is considered rape.In Sg,sex with below 16 girl
is mandatory considered rape,disregarding consensus or not.

Another reports is the girl did resist.i dunt know why the court
did not think is rape.May be there are too many people pleadings
for him.

Its considered rape if have sex with girls under 14. Btw 14-16 is sex with minor
