Tell me something - are the residents of PP and HG any less
Singaporean than the rest? Do they pay the same taxes as the rest
of us? Do their sons sacrifice two years of their lives to
defending our country like the rest of us? So they do share the
same burden as everyone else, don't they? So why don't they get the
same share of benefits?
Let's say several people are vying for the post of CEO in a company
against an incumbent CEO. The incumbent CEO dips into the company
coffers and pays off whichever directors who votes for him 'as a
little gesture in return for their support and loyalty' when he
wins. Would you still call this fair?
Those who say that the ruling party's actions are fair should try
living in Potong Pasir or Hougang for a few years.
Let's see whether they will still hold fast to their views.

And before you say it, no, I don't live in either estate. I live in
Marine Parade - a PAP stronghold, mind you.
