Is it not ironic, that in the midst of debating how Mr Xenophobic
in the story may have given Singaporeans a bad name, that one
contributor has also behaved in a bad manner by giving sarcastic
and insulting remarks? Do look at his "sparring" with the other
contributors to get a feel of his courtesy and humility, or lack
thereof.
Some of us have tried to point that out to him, which
unfortunately, elicited a more extreme and unpleasant
response.
Your above passage should be addressed to him.
As was mentioned, never walk into
a 'dead end' street - even
in the brightest day and whether walking, driving, or debating.

It is always difficult to make a U-Turn, especially when it is a
"narrow dead end street"
that you find yourself in.
Always find a "two way"
street, and unless you are confident to cross that busy road with
aggressive drivers, go on the safe side - use the "lighted crossings, and follow the
"Green Man".
If one wish to challenge a Porsche 'Boxer' while driving a
Nissan Z - make sure there
is enough fuel to outlast - if one cannot outrun the Porsche; otherwise.......... just
enjoy the competition run.
