I can see that the intention of these ERP increases are
'innocent' and purpose-driven.
But, I can't relate the following:
- during Peak Hours,
>> what other expressways are there besides CTE to reach
northen estates?
>> what other expressways are there besides PIE to reach the
eastern parts of Singapore?
- if ERP charges work for these Expressways,
>> wouldn't congestions simply migrate to other minor roads
and create another issue to be met with MORE increases as
solutions?
The gradual increase of these ERP charges is VERY MUCH akin to a
pot of water being very slowly brought up to a boil - one would not
feel the heat, and hence be boiled alive without knowing it.
