Waiting Time for TP so long?!

Hi all, new here..

I am currently having my driving lessons with a private instructor.
Recently, i got my instructor to apply tp for me.. he told me i could only have my tp early NEXT YEAR! is he for real or he just trying to rip me off?!

Have been learning for 4 months now.. cant help get the feeling hes trying to milk my wallet try or something..

so my question is.. does it really take so long for my tp to happen!?!

it's a 5-6 mth wait for private candidates... he's not milking u, dun worry... cause it's a fair thing... u pay for how much time u spend learning...

there's a way to solve ur problem... write in to TP using a company's name to bring forward ur test date... state in the letter that the company would only employ u only if u have a class 3 licence... it worked for me...

Yeah if you just passed your final theory... you will have to wait till next year to get your TP. It is advisable for you to pass your final theory before you start taking lessons as a private candidate... but oh well...

yeah…brian is rite… school is fast. but more money of course… i completed my license in 3 months(i pass all 1 time. Advance and Basic both pass 1 time. practical also 1 time) . but i pay abt $1800. Just like public transport… Taxi is faster than taking bus…but taxi cost more…same lor….school like bbdc, ssdc, cdc all fast if u consistent but the money is always the killer…

Erm how much less time is need to wait for a tp when you are with the school? Damn.. kinda regret taking a private.. i just cant help that he is trying to rip me off.. its been 4 months and i havent even used the reverse gear yet.. i already got all the basics right and yet i havent done a single parking yet... i already have 16 + lessons under my belt btw..

wah kaoz... serious ah... hey think u should just ask him directly lor... maybe he has his reasons?? cause for private right.. when i was learning driving, i had 60 hrs of training in total... and i only spent 8hrs in the circuit... i'm always on public roads...

Well... let's see if you have already taken final theory then let's assume you take 3 lessons a week and the average lessons no of lessons you need to take in school is about 25. It's about 2 months of learning time and about 3 weeks of waiting time for TP after that... Hope this helps... Smile
