This topic has been bashed to death and back, and I am still of
the opinion that if they have no funds to sustain them for 2 years,
meaning at least 50k, they should not come in.
If the child is smart enough, and by that, at least top 1% in an
average PRC province, by all means, grant him a scholarship like
any other foreign student. Why should the mother be given a free
pass in?
Anyone else, can stay out if they don't meet either immigration
criteria or a comparative educational benchmark against scholar
selection for Singaporeans.
Can't they bloody attend boarding schools on scholarship?
Spoilt brats. We don't need such softies
masquerading as FTs.Thousands of Asian kids go to Eton every year
and they survive well.
Does a PRC boy or girl need their mama hanging around if we have
boarding schools to offer them?
