We are about the only FIRST WORLD Country on this globe, with a
Government that is paranoid about its Citizens not being able to
discern between 'real' facts and 'shady' facts.
Our Singapore Third World Government insist on a monopoly over the
Singaporean minds - whatever the media of influences that affect
our minds will be controlled, be it the materials that are read,
viewed, heard, tasted, or smelled.
When cable vision was first launched, there was hope that
Singaporeans will have free access to satellite broadcast programs
from the entire globe.
Sadly NO; this supposedly First World Country with a Third World
Government decide to control access and at the same time milk the
money out of Singaporeans who wish to watch programmes from across
the Globe - and then again only selected programmes are
available.
Cable vision was available only through a Government Linked Company
- subject to the regulations from the Ministry.
Perhaps Singapore should stop believeing the 'shady fact' so
expertly put out that we belong to the First World, when the TRUE
Third World Countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand,
Philippines allow those citizens - who can afford - to have access
to satellite connections to the world broadcasting medium.
Talk about plugging into a Global World, and we can only experience
this Third World Government expertly controlling the selected plug
going into hole that it clearly will allow to be
plugged.
