"Freedom of expression and assembly continued to be curbed. Thirty-six men were held without charge or trial under the Internal Security Act (ISA). Death sentences were imposed and eight people were executed. Jehovahs Witnesses continued to be imprisoned for conscientious objection to military service. Criminal offenders were sentenced to caning."

Unfortunately, the report did not include those released from detention - under the Internal Security Act - but do not have their Political Rights restored, and with restricted conditions imposed on their movement in and out of Singapore.

While those Jihadist were incarcerated based on collected evidence, the other Singaporeans were locked up for their political and social principles.

These non-Jihadist Singaporeans were POLITICAL PRISONERS and were not charged in any Singapore Court - with evidence being brought up by the POWER OF ONE to back up their accusations made.

From unproven verbal accusations, these Singapore Citizens were locked up without trial and released for the POWER OF ONE to manipulate and dispose at their own leisurely pleasure.

No, in Singapore, hands are not chopped for stealing : but you may get yourself into an entrapment, when the Law encourages you to commit a criminal and nail you for the crime.

You may get the shorter end of the rope.

Or worse still, for opening your mouth to cause unnecessary discomfort to the POWER OF ONE, you could find yourself living in the streets as a Bankrupt.

Your extreme system will purposefully cause physical damages by removing the hands of a thief.

There is nothing wrong with caning.

Banning of JW goes against the grain of religious freedom, a la China's suppression of Catholicism.

Civil liberties must be introduced and capital punishment abolished.
