I am also neutral but I am objective and understand the rights and wrongs. I am not anti-government but I am definitely pro-Singapore. The rest I leave it to facts as posted. If government or you can prove what I say as wrong without calling name I will appreciate more views about my postings. I thought the government has always wanted robust debates.

I wouldn't say Robert is totally biased although I do feel he is more negative than I am towards government policies. I criticize many government policies (anyone can search and read my postings) but I also disagree with Robert on some issues. I agree with him about the government's double charging but I disagree with him about the dangers of racism and the sedition laws.

I think what Salman means is that we ought to be cautious if someone agrees or disagrees with us completely. Similarly someone who completely agrees or disagrees with the government is likely to be biased one way or the other. Even spouses disagree on politics.

Put forth your arguments though...that's the purpose of this forum, isn't it?

$10,000USD per month... after taxes $7000USD only. The annual pay works out to be $120,000 USD a year, almost one tenth of what singapore's prime Minister get. It is not that we should pay our ministers poorly, isnt there something called limit? 10times is way too much dont you think?

Perhaps we can have another "durian" in the form of "minister libraries" where the ministers can donate their pay slip, IRAS income tax forms, bank account statements and reciepts of purchases for singaporeans to admire.

How do you suppose a US President, say Clinton get rich from the Clinton library? He charges the library royalties for using his name? Or he opened a law firm that handles the duties for constructing the library?
