give that chap a break lah ... from what he's written (and
deleted away) ... it must have been some rather traumatic
experience for him to feel thus ...
different people react differently to such circumstances (racism,
discrimination, crime, whatever) ... but then again, this sort of
things exist everywhere in the world to a certain degree, even in
Singapore ... yes, there's racism where I am too, though not many
people hear about it ... for those chap who've read about my
rantings about my redneck lunatic neighbour, yes, that running feud
is still on-going ... but I prefer to think that such incidents
makes me stronger ... you'd have to learn to filter out such things
after a while ... else it gets to you and daily life there becomes
an ordeal ... and it makes you re-evaluate your own prejudices too
doesn't it ? ... like how it must feel like to be a minority in
Singapore, eh ? ....
and for that news article ... let's just focus on the person;
namely the clown CSJ, instead of the newspaper or the entire nation
eh ... I'm sure we learnt plenty about aussie newspapers and their
sensationalized coverage during the nyuyen incident eh ? ... so
don't read too much into it ... for sure, the straits times is a
piece of crap rag ... but you'd be idiotic to think that newspapers
in other countries are not, eh ? ...
