NuLife SG The government will then sell the land to them at markup prices. Betw, are the material cost charged GSTs??? And how about outsourcing the job to China Construction Company? Altenatively, somone can also start a petition on more HDB Transpancy. Just lke NKF?? Hey, I sense a good business here. Low-cost No-frills housing. Just like those Low-cost Airlines. Can even put in broadband wireless internet access for every flat and rooms even. Can such low-cost competitor to shake up the market?? Sounds stupid?
NuLife SG No wonder someone experienced told me the property development market is the quickest way to get rich. My guess is, PAP has figured it out since the beginning.
NuLife SG Hmm. Betw, I thought HDB had already over-build HDB flats? Why ain't the prices dropping with the oversupply?
Lowclassman SG My estimation is also on high side liow...if contractors were to build with these price...contractors will get rich super fast.
king108 SG One room flat should still have in Chai Chee and Bedok, very few. Bukit Merah mostly dismolished. Price matter, why not leave it to SDA Edmund Ng to do then say. Before he can do it already block..you still wanted people to believe cannot be done. Never tried, never know. The price you had show..I wouldn't wanted to speculate, cause unless I see the actual blue print and sent it to a estimator. Price can be anything really depended on the actual design. Am I rite to say so? Time will reveal.
robertteh SG One cannot compare HDB flat construction costs with those of private sector terrace houses. The per square foot cost for HDB has been well known. All it takes is for such costs to be provided by Minister Mah to Edmund Ng and the whole argument or controversy surrounding the issue whether HDB is over-charging for its HDB flat prices would be resolved. There is no need to practise witholding of information and at the end when people speculated on any issue of costs like in the disputes over the medical costs that there would be law suits or commission of inquiries which could all be avoided. Many problems we encounter today could be solved without such witholding of information - it is just a matter of following First-world practices of providing information for accountability and transparency to citizens period. If NKF released information in the beginning about ratio of donation to patient subsidy throughout the whole period the whistle blowers were being sued there would have been proper and accountable good corporate governance and the whole NKF would not have happened at all. So HDB should practise good corporate governance so that this matter need not become an election issue at all? Is Minister Mah going to practise first-world management practice for HDB to release cost information then?
king108 SG Please sleep early..you need enough rest to grow..I don't wish you turned to smaller size but no tiger.
Lessformore SG I completely agree that WP must come clean about the Gomezgate I completely agree that SL knows more than she reveals. Opposition must follow the example of the ruling party by coming clean and reveal all. Just ask and you will have evry details right down to the cost of a screw in building a flat. Just ask and you have every detail on how much each Singaporean is paid..Just ask and you will know how strong a invester Singapore is in every country. Once you have all the answers...shove it down the oppositions throat...
king108 SG Very new yet very deep... I had never heard of during a battle of 2 sides. One side can ask the other side to kill their general infront of their opponent. Let me know your side, we wouldn't join. This is because we don't know when we will be killed by you, the emperor..
BillyBong SG And what has this got to do with this particular thread? James Gomez's intregrity is for the people to decide. He has already made a mistake, admitted it, and openly apologised at a rally in front of camera and CNA video footage. IRONICALLY and COINCIDENTALLY, this particular footage was NOT covered on air time, compared to the PAP endorsed JAMES GOMEZ SHOW. The fact that the Ruling Party continues to harp on this issue begs the following questions: 1. Are they so shallow in their variety that they have nothing else to talk about? 2. DPM Wong seems to have taken a personal interest in this case, also because he is 'in-charge' of the elections dept. Now WHY IS A PAP-aligned MINISTER HEADING A SUPPOSED NEUTRAL BODY FOR ELECTIONS? Why hasn't anyone answered this? 'Shove it down the opposition's throat' you say? Perhaps you should study the facts and the subtle politicking at play by the fragile Ruling Party. And as you say, they should 'reveal all', why is Mah Bow Tan so RELUCTANT to release costings figures from HDB, even BARRING access that should be public knowledge? Is the Ruling Party afraid that SDA will uncover the REAL COST of building a HDB flat?
BillyBong SG Indeed. As SDP Lawyer M Ravi mentioned at a rally, lightning strikes in Singapore are among the highest in the world.
king108 SG Technically, this question can be answered easily. Lighting can be treated as another kind of electric. Right? Electric required conductor to flow and likely to be attracted good conductors. Do we see lighting last time..Yes, the most is only coconut tree shot and die standing. Now less coconut trees, hence shot openly and more fiercely..(visually). We have many conductor here.. So now, you know why see lighting must take cover and also right place..don't hide under a tree..not guarantee you survive..Look for a shelter..If the lighting is a chasing type then remove all metallic objects. I was shot by lighting on my ear while answering phone call outside my house before but survive. Hence, I see l scare..Sometime, I switched off my handphone..
