Someone or maybe Howard informed the police to arrest him. Our police are not employed to hang traffickers on transit. They have better things to do.They only act on tip off.

Good point.The Bali Nine were caught on Australian Federal Police tip-off.That could explain the harsh words Beazley had for the Liberals.

I still rather have Howard as PM than Beazley.That fellow, go watch the Aussie Parliamentary debates..go and see what I mean.Howard's track record is much better and Australia has been able to globalise under him.

Mr Tguyen was allowed physical contact with his family. Special appeal from Howard.

If lets say i am a Singaporean, and i am caught for drug traffiking in Singapore.
So lets say i will be hanged. Can i be allowed a final physical contact? If i wanna appeal, i ask who? MP? or PM Lee Hsein Loong? or all also cannot?

This example means, better to get convicted overseas.. then at least can get PM to appeal?

I daresay SG will rather let their ppl get hanged and ignore them then unlike Austrailia where there are so many appeals and clemency requests by so many ministers....

that said, I do believe the nearest Singapore embassy will be on hand to help you with consular assistance, get in touch with your family, that sort of thing ...

I aint the blind one, and i do under the situation, of course SPF is corrupted, i know other PF in other countries, every single country. Just because you were in the PF, you dont have to back up for them, that is exactly what corruption is, hiding it from the public. If singapore have people taking drugs, catch them and hang them, do something about it. The drug problem is always going to be around, no matter how many people you hang. The best way is a life sentence without bail or paroll. What is the sentence for murder in sinapore?

The penalty for murder is clearly spelt out in Sect 302 of the Penal Code. You can access Singapore Statutes online: http://statutes.agc.gov.sg/

What is there to hide? The fact that you don't even bother to research your information reflects your sloven attitude and does you no credit at all.

There is everything to hide. Straits Times is not like London's Daily Mirror. At least the latter can rake the dirt on Scotland Yard and still get away. There are a lot of things that go on behind closed doors that the general public have no idea about.

You know one thing, newspaper doesn't mean they provide coverage of every thing. They choose a standpoint and provide certain information.

And thus, a football paper won't give you any economic crap, hell, they might not even cover football in the entire globe.

There are many things the London's Daily Mirror doesn't report, but I do admit they have more press freedom than we do in Singapore.

And there are many skeletons hidden here and there by different Governments.

And not all papers have the access to such information. Why did you think there are security agencies like FBI?
