Let me see;
I think life, cannot be be totally VOID of any stress. Actually, I
understand that there two kinds of stress - good stress
(motivational/inspirational/and drive oriented), and bad stress
(inhibitive/restrictive/and destructive).
Stress of either kind, produces adrenaline in our blood stream,
hence, prolong high levels of adrenaline over long period of time,
can lead to all kinds of medical conditions - number one being
cancer.
The key here then is striking that balance.
I know it's much easier said than done, I myself am prone to being
carried away by work-stress totally and forgetting that I possess a
mortal physical body.
But as pointed out by quite a few in here, yes, the more material
properties and status you want in life (in Singapore and everywhere
esle), the more stress you shall incur. Striking a balance then in
itself, is also stressful.
So ultimately, there's a "price" everyone has to pay for the KIND
of life one chooses to live. But then again, depending on the
society one lives in, such as fast-paced and time-short Singapore,
the level of stress is a default factor for all growing up and
living in Singapore.
Our economical, commercial, and social machinery here is such that
we cannot change or reverse, as our economic vibrancy is TOTALLY
dependant on it.
