I read Singapore could be annexed by China on the long run. They
say, if China has annexed Taiwan, then Singapur will be the next
target, because of the one China directive. I was quite surprised
to read that, because Singapore supports a reunification of China
and Taiwan. That Japan and some other countries fear a possible
unication because it would shift the balance of power in the region
further in chinas faveur, is an open secret, but that may have such
consequences for Singapore is new to me. Is that a realistic
scenario, that Singapore becomes part of China ( more or less
voluntary) or is that a far fetched idea?
