jOhO SG

must have been a really clear cloudless nite too.. NOTHING is reflecting off the sky. Shocked

nice nice very nice!

~AiTaiYuan~ SG

shutter was between 4-7 secs..aperture 7.0/8.0..

post processing..hehe..cropped a lot (quite obvious rite =P)
then adjusted contrast a bit..hehehe

no reflection off the sky meh? can see the clouds..n in some pics..the smoke from the fireworks is quite obvious rite?

jOhO SG

arr.. ok cool, those are the settings i'll be using.. around there..

clouds not really leh, maybe ur framing zhun zun no clouds where the fireworks are. smoke of course have lar.. that one different. Mr. Green

cos clouds can give some really ugly reflections sometimes.. Confused

~AiTaiYuan~ SG

i took abt 70 over pics tt nite and only 20 or so were usable..
the timing and the height of the fireworks were very unpredictable..
had to keep adjusting my tripod to frame the fireworks properly..

yah..think the sky was rather clear that night
and maybe its the way the launched the fireworks..before launching those big ones, they made sure they waited for a while for the sky to clear..then u can see the "rocket" fly up into the sky very clearly..then poom!~! hehehe Razz
the whole thing lasted 1 and a half hrs..

just hope they dun rush through the fireworks during NDP..launching all the fireworks at 1 shot..if not its going to get all smoky and it will be difficult to get the pics..

jOhO SG

u know lar.. singaporeans. i won't be surprised if it's like that. and anyway it -WILL- be cloudy... hehe

btw.. were u holidying when u took those pics?

MoonIce SG

all the more increase my desire to go jpn Laughing
hey joho gd luck in taking NDP fireworks... Razz
u got tix meh?
Rolling Eyes

jOhO SG

eheh NDP fireworks are best taken outside the stadium. and yeah i have tix anyway, or can get.

just that i won't go anyway becos i dun have long enuff zooms, can't use tripod, so need fast lenses, which i dun have, and... i probably cannot get a press pass to get at ground level. i could try tho! dunno my lobang how powerful... Wink Wink
