Mr. Low TK's FULL response to MM Lee KY was not published in

Apart from the "challenge" to draw Hougang and Potong Pasir into
one GRC, Low has questioned the "advice" of MM Lee. Low said that
according to what he knows, MM Lee has "squatted" in Tanjong Pagar
ever since he won the seat back in the 1950s. i.e. MM Lee did not
"walk out" of his own constituency to lead a GRC but rather, Anson
and those areas around Tanjong Pagar had been "absorbed" into TP to
form the present Tanjong Pagar GRC.
Secondly, Mr. Low said that if he was to be MM Lee, he will advise
the PM to field all NEW PAP candidates in SMC since the concerns is
that new candidates in PAP's rank may lack the experience in
fighting electoral battles. Furthermore, those NEW PAP candidates
with potentials to be ministers should lead a team with all new
candidates to contest in GRC. This is to test whether such highly
regarded NEW candidates could hold the ground or not.
