Is Spore boring or it's just our people that is ?

thinking about it this year coz now, i'm pretty mobile and working normal hours which was a godsent during the mosaic music fest... but... no one seems to...

Every now n then if you ask any singaporean on the road if "Is spore a boring country?", i believe many will say "Yes"...

So, do you think Spore is a boring country or it's the people themselves?

have anyone ever realized that whenever u go out with frens, the places u go are always bugis, orchard, citylink area etc? sg is so small and there's not much outdoor activities that we can do together ba. always end up in shopping malls la kopi, movie, ktv etc.

Yah lor, it's mostly the same places... But honestly lah, if got money then go where also not boring, you can fly here fly there, get the most expensive and chio social escort, change a new one everyday to entertain you, try out the best food all over the world, self design and get people to build a private mansion etc etc... I got so many ideas to spend money, but not enough money to spend.

it's like everytime we go out is eat, eat, eat..

when i go out with family is also eat de.. buffet, hi tea, dinner watever..

i would say that singapore is not boring, not by a longshot...

i would say that the people in singapore have been spoilt rotten to the extent that they are all jaded and cynical beyond reason...

recently, there was a music fest, but people i asked didn't wanna go.. "boring" was the immediate answer.. then after that, some gave a little bit more of an answer... they didn't even want to go because they didn't know the type of music was being played... even when it was told to them, they didn't want to go because they "weren't sure if it'll be nice"

same goes for movies.. the singapore international film fest is coming up.. i bet if i asked the same people, they'd give me the same answers...

so there.. singapore isn't boring.. i would say that the people are jaded to an extent that they find the same things boring, yet are too "afraid" to venture forth and look for new things which are there for them anyway..

1. Most Other countries you can go out of the city; to another province or state; Singapore? Drive here drive there go here go there is the same.

2. Thailand, have many adult entertainment centres. Joo Chiat and Geylang keep getting raided by police makes you sick.

3. Most other countires make fun of their political leaders but in Singapore you do that you go bankrupt... boring.

4. Singaporeans have no free time.... in other countries, people do not need to work so hard because they are taken care of by the state and it is not so expensive.

5. Censorship galore here.... boring

6. nothing better to do than to come to sgforums.... yipes!

:- Flying kites? Rollerblading? Cycling? Swimming?
:- Play Bowling, Pool/Billard, Basketball?
:- La kopi @ Starbucks/Kopibean/whichever
:- Fishing/Catch crabs
:- Wine pubs/Holland V/chill-out pubs
:- BBQ, camping
:- Watch VCDs/DVDs, play videogames, board games, re-decorate your hse/room with your family members?
:- Downtown East, Sentosa(Quite a few places in Sentosa), Pulau Ubin, East Coast/Changi/Pasir Ris (FV) parks
:Science Centre, Jurong Bird park, Zoo, Night safari, Chinese Garden, Botanic garden, etc
:- Holiday chalets
:- Wanna go chiong with them also can... Laughing

All in all, i think it's how people plan or organise how they shld spend free time with family members/friends....

Singapore''ll be a very boring place if we make it a boring place....otherwise, i really don't see it that boring...Becoz we make up Singapore lor... Mr. Green
