i will like to see this in a slightly different angle ... (too
bad i stumble on this thread ... makes me angry .... )
1) while everyone likes to see new things in life, like new cars,
new PC, new handphone, etc. i think everyone also like not to be
inconvenience by the introduction of "NEW" things. are we really
all for new MRT farecards? new bus pricing? if every year have
election and every year they knock and build something at your
block or doorstep ... do you like it ??? if you work in night shift
... YOU WILL HATE IT !!!
2) i gone thru 1 upgrade process, workers walk in and out of house
EVERYday to get the utility room in the kitchen up.
>> who is the person who decides the design of the room? BTW
it suckx big time, the clothes pole line the length of the swing
open windows, meaning you have to leave the entire space clear to
hang clothes, so what is the room for? to exercise extra 10feet
carrying the clothes pole?? i fume even now come to think of such a
cokanathan design whoever it was tat did it. and it wasnt cheap,
have to pay em S$1xxxx to "UPGRADE"
>> why must upgrade?? why they do not want to leave us poor
folks alone to tinker our own home sweet home and let us be? why
not just do things that DO NOT INTRUDE into peoples lives like a
great paint job? more trees? more shelters? etc
>> if upgrading is so important, why not just set a scheme
for folks to redeem limited portion of renovation costs (like how
they give away ERS, etc), or even better, waive off a few years of
the poor folks monthly HDB installment !!! upgrade the peoples
lives instead, make the people happy, we dont wake up everyday see
a new piece of concrete in our house and start smiling at it do we
???
*fuming mad*
