Hah! This in my opinion is very possible, and in fact, PAP might as well do away with oppositions altogether. There are no worthy "oppositions" left!

Jeya showed that it could be done, and he still fights for the underpinnings of a democratic republic.

Regardless of effectiveness of a 100% PAP parliament, I'm definitely more proud to be able to call my nation an effective, strong and pluralistic democracy than a freak show.

Well, if you do look at the candidates that were presented to the public today, they are stating their case. One party, with a diversity of views, of people from different walks of life, not neccessary conforming.

Can we trust a Parliament dominated by ONE Political Party to debate, draft and pass legislations that will benefit Singaporeans ?

Can this be achieve when it has been seen countless times over the last FORTY YEARS - that on nearly all legislations, no Member of Parliament from the Ruling Political Party has ever been allowed vote according to their Conscience ?

It has been the practice of the Ruling Political Party to ensure that their appointed Whip in Parliament will maintain all Party Discipline by voting according to Party instructions.

Is this good for Singapore, when we have seen over the last Forty Years the failed policies that were widely promoted, by quietly allowed to fade from further public discussions ?

I'm against the idea of political monopoly.The basics are just wrong.This is how I have grown up, to believe in representation and homage has to be paid to our democratic hallmarks.

There can be no compromise with democracy.Either you fight to preserve it, or it is subverted in its representation by ethereal wannabes.

Actually nothing really new, a one party parliament.

From 1968-1981, Singapore's parliament only have PAP members, no opposition at all. It happened before in our history, but eventually the Opposition somehow stood up from its grave when the Anson by-election was lost.

If a parliament with only PAP members results from this coming GE, bo bian lah, still have to live on.
