Going by this definition, PAP did not approve her of being the
patron of NKF. Rather, it is agreed by all committee members and
the board of directors of NKF that she will be the patron of
NKF.
While there is no doubt that Durai managed to use the laws to
silence people who challenged him, however, the losing of the
lawsuit to SPH shows that there is indeed loopholes in how he ran
NKF. The other cases, as far as I know, the people who are suing
did not produce enough evidence, that's why the lawsuit is either
dropped or lost. SPH managed to produce enough evidence, and Durai
himself, upon questioning, admitted himself some of the things,
like how long the reserves can last.
The recent report that was out not too long ago showed loopholes in
his leading. It also showed how he bypassed certain laws with the
creative accounting practices of his.However, it also brings up the
questions like how did the previous independent auditors audit
NKF's accounts? How could they not notice such a big gap in the
accounts?
