The long message on FTA do not equate the resulting effect you
want to show that will benefit Singapore first, then ripple over to
China, then ripple down to Malaysia.
The truth is Malaysia views the effort of Singapore on FTAs with
various countries as having a negative impact on its own economy.
It is deemed that Singapore is taking away business that should be
done with Malaysia. Just like Singapore ports are handling
(stealing) containers that are supposed to be ("should be")
handled by their own ports in Malaysia.
With this mind set, I do not see how Singapore can help in Malaysia
dismantle their Pro-Bumi policies (written or
unwritten).
