I just hope whoever replaces Sharon will continue with the peace process.....I think their societies sooner or later will realize the need for peace. Hopefully.

Once there is peace, the world situation should be better a bit....including those global terrorism......it all started from Mid-East problems. Everybody will be better off.

I am not interested to get into the english bullshit with you. All I can say is that I have been there done that and i am still doing it. Middle Eastern arabs really hate the american, they even sell slippers that looks like the american flag so that you can use your feet to step on it.

All I can say is that I dont believe any arab or muslim country in the ME will like the US to rule their country. Having said that, I think even Europeans hate the americans.

the only iranians i know are the carpet sellers here. but if the media can be trusted to some extent, the increasing youth populace in iran are tired with the conservative old farts. this iranian president was rigged to the post. a revolution is happening and i do think most young adults there would not mind an american invasion and then fart off. they certainly have no wish for george to stay longer than he should.

i think george may have 'heard' god wrongly....he said iran, not iraq. iran has a more liberal youth society and i believe george wouldn't have faced this transition crap in iraq as he would in iran.

2years ago I see a hardline Sharon going tough on Pales. Thought war is coming.
Last year I see a moderate Sharon giving Peace a chance. Hope is hanging.
Now an ailing Sharon...shattered hope. SOMEONE calling him back home just when Hope is showing up. Does this mark we are all marching towards Dday?

US and Israel is not the centre of the earth. Their policies have extended beyong their securties. Not to go into conspiracy theories, but Israel is no saint either and should equate everything to it's own securities. Accountablility is also called Karma. Just my personal ranting. sorry.

Well, different strokes for different folks.I'm pro Israeli to a certain extent, so that's that.

They have done certain things that are not right, but I would still give them the benefit of the doubt.

I'm that too for many years and I seldom question their methods. But this few years have changed my perception somewhat. They are now acting that they could just do anything they wished, and seemed addicted to overlord mentality.. which is sad. Of course, I understand the palestinian's aggression, but shooting unarmed kids are getting regular.

I'm thinking that their government and the Israeli people share a different view of things, which is why there is a split between Kadima, Likud and Labor.

On the other hand, there are Palestinians and Israelis who increasingly realise they cannot do without each other.It's the ordinary folks who suffer, and the rate of conscientous objection in the armed forces is climbing..

People may not lead but people collectively have certain wishes - be peaceful, co-exist and get along with one another in this world as this is the only world god has made for them to live in.

Visions of leaders are often wrong and colored by materialism, pragmatism and politics. People will at the end provide the wisdom and towards wisdom the leaders should final serve.

Sharon actually made a huge mistake by giving up Gaza. The place turned lawless and the thugs even attacked the Egyptians. It exposed the weakness of the Palestinian authorities and degraded their image around the world and their ability to form a nation.
So not only did he fail to gain peace by giving up Gaza, he made it even worst.

no, it is actually a win-win for him. If giving up some land to Pales and they showed that they can admin their land properly, all the better for both. But if Pales continue their plunder for more blood and lives, Sharon will have a reason to force peace on them. Think Bush and Sharon got hold some coffee talk on this.
