Gees.. have anyone noticed that Public rubbish bins are getting
scarce by the year ? I mean I have been notice the reduction since
those contracts have been privatised.
Carparks
There used to be a rubbish bin attached to every other lamp post at
the carparks and a main bin at every 50 metres. Then reduced to
every two other lamp post and 2 to 4 bins at every big carparks and
1 or 2 at medium size carparks.
Now, my carpark (Medium/large)has only 2 bins and all bins attched
to lamp post are gone.
Viod decks
Used to have 4 to 6 bins, now only one at lift landing and one at
the sitting area. of course there will be one next to RC (for
obvious reasons).
Streets
Along most roads with pavement, It seems almost extinct.
Only at bus stops, it seems.
Now, not that this is a big issue, but sometimes I seemed to have
urge just to dump my rubbish by the road side. I mean I looked
around and don't seem to be able to see any bins. Where there are,
they are out of my way and is 100m away. Look at Orchard rd, you
noticed tat the Bins are far in between.
Gosh.. I don't wished to be caught in the future and serve
community service. But I'm afraid I have a weak will. All the past
government anti-littering campaign seems to be getting away from
me. Sigh>
