It is only fair that PRs should pay more than citizens. As for the vote, citizens should have a greater say than PRs in any case

Actually, that 75% ruling can be hard to get

Say the 25 storey point view blocks, there are 96 units, already 24 units have lift landing, that's 25% already

$10,800 as compare to $540 is a lot more!

and judging from the cheap price of only $540 for singaporeans, i believe the majority will vote yes, in the end who suffers, the PRs. cos they'll be paying the full price, but they don't even get to vote. Rolling Eyes

and come to think of it, we don't really need the upgrade anyway, everything is working fine the way it is now. don't understand the government.

Yes i agree. They should be a difference for citizens and PRs. But $10,000 is too much a difference. Who can really afford $10,000 to upgrade something which is no even yours..

Serving 2.5 years inthe army and the opportunity cost that entails means lot more than $10k. Many would gladly beg, borrow or steal the 10k if they can get out of the army...There must be more advantages being a citizen for the sacrifice we put up with..

actually, only 2nd generation PRs needs to serve NS. but it is still unfair to the 2nd generation PRs if they encounter this problem.
