Two yrs ago, a group of french ladies and spouses of french
businessmen went to JB for golf. On the way back, a car, don know
malaysian or singapore, trailed one of the cars and finally forced
her to stop along PIE, a man jumped out, with a plier, opened the
wheel caps and took something away. They then left leaving the lady
completely shocked and had to call her husband to pick her up.
Would she be hanged if she were caught at the check point? They
went to the police to report the case.
She was told this: she would be detained for investigations, but
the police must have sufficient evidence that she was indeed aware
of the presence of the drugs, like finding the drugs inside the
car, in your bags,.....and evidence showing her intention to
smuggle, like hiding it in secret compartments, or strapping around
she body, before they can even proceed on to prosecute her.
when there is a doubt like the package was found in your golf bags
which the caddy at the country club could have placed it there
without your notice, they would have to investigage further.
"Ant Smuggling", this is what they call it, is there everyday when
thousands of cars go in and out of singapore. They would bring in
the dogs to sniff your car only if they receive tipoff. Nobody
knows exactly how much has been smuggled in. But now cigarettes
smuggling can bring in also good margins, no risks of death or even
jails, but the chances of getting caught is higher.
Singapore don't just put anybody found with possession of drugs to
death. But if you are scared, park yr cars where you can see, or
don't go to JB.
