Oh man..... *tries to hide face*
The people up there want our people to speak up, but when we try
to, we find ourselves being muzzled. What are they trying to say
here? That the government's opinion is always right and that all
other contrasting opinions are wrong? Or what.... that the theme of
the death penalty may be 'insensitive' in the light of the current
situation?
If that's the case, then they should ban The Green Mile, Tale of
Two Cities, and all other works of literature which references the
death penalty. After all, it would be too 'insensitive' to be
reading them.
We can forget about being an arts hub already. What's the point of
having $600 million durians when the arts scene can't be allowed to
flourish? Lots of beautiful architecture, but lacking any soul
whatsoever.
So much for creativity.....
