Croaking_Toad SG Anybody managed to catch the interview with the hangman? Managed to find this... http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=74872 Should he be saying all that in the interview? An expert in hanging people If Mr Singh believes in rebirth, but by executing people, what does he become
cornyfish2000 SG I wonder if he received any incentives from the Australian Press for accepting such interviews.. and if any western press firms approached him to write a book on his job?
Croaking_Toad SG Huh? I thought I am the only mountain tortoise here . It seems not many of us locals caught the interview let alone know how he looks like. But the thing that kicks me most is.... With me, they (the prisoners) don't struggle. I know the real way. If it's a raw guy, they will struggle like chickens, like fish out of the water," Singh told Reuters at his spacious four-bedroom apartment. At first i felt sorry for him after reading that he was sacked because of this interview. Imagine after the long years in service and got sacked.... But after knowing what he had said in this interview, i think otherwise now. That's just a bit too much... nobody wants to know whether the excuted struggled like chickens or fish out of water....
LazerLordz SG There are many ways to monitor news about Singapore that doesn't make it to the ST.Read up on all the sides of a story and never let one decide for you.
pat33 SG This part is played up a little by the foreign media one lah.... But I pity poor Mr Singh, a contract staff, because after hanging some many hundreds, only getting his once a lifetime moment of glory before retiring into the sunset.
BadzMaro SG He is one stone cold killing machine. The ultimate killing machine. Doesnt blink an eye. After so many hangings.. i think he is pretty much a stone to death!
Croaking_Toad SG Wonder what happens if his photo appears in New Paper or any chinese newspaper. That will be his moment of glory then. Therefore can we label him as a state-sanctioned murderer?
pat33 SG Someone got to do the job, man. .... we dun expect the chief justice to do it, do we? To him, its a job for living.....
Croaking_Toad SG He ought to do it himself since he called for it. Objectiveness sometimes blinds us. Don't get me wrong... I am for tough action in drug related offences. Australia does not see the problem in which drug addiction causes to a household. The ironic thing is being an Asian country, Singapore puts society first before the individual. But yet we believe strongly in family ties. Whereas in a western country like Australia, the individual comes first. Therefore, they believe that it is up to the individual should they want to be in the habit of drugs. We rather prevent the problem. They prefer to fix the problem when it arises. East and west collides....
LazerLordz SG There's a sizeable amount in each country that veers closer to the other side.To walk both sides is to be enlightened.,
ditzy SG He's been working for so many years and already time to retire, now then make a big fuss about him. Sounds so fishy.
mach10 SG he hang people, clean job. the people he hang, do bad job when killing others, blood splatter everywhere, make everywhere dirty.
