I am definitely all for changing the medthod to Lethal Injection. It's more HUMANE. I just wonder, which part of the word HUMANE, does our government not understand?

Ok, we all or some of us knows and understands that hanging if done correctly, should kill the condemned person instantly because the neck is broken and spinal cord severed in the process. But how accurate are they at determining how much weight to apply to the drop to effect a perfect hang? In cases where calculations were incorrect, the poor soul dangles and wriggle for many suffering minutes before finally expiring in a mess.

ANd yes, people who either dies of asphyxiation or hanging, usually has an erection. Why? I read it somewhere but now I can;t remember causes it.
In any case, it;s undiginified way to go.

Beheading is the best and most honourable way to die. No erection, no pain, no poisons in the body, just die. I suggest we use the guillotine cos its strong and guaranteed to do the job.
Plus you get to harvest the usabel parts to save people.

No execution method is humane. I feel that we should not have capital punishment at all.

It's like this: if the Death Penalty cannot be done away with, it is humane as humans, to take away the pain and suffering involved in dying.

Even if the person who is adminsitered lethal injections starts to convulse, at least the said person is unconscious, and does not feel a thing. It's just involuntary bodily reactions.

Think it this way; if you have a bad tooth and it's aching the bejesus out of you, you'd definitely want that tooth out of your mouth ASAP. A tooth extraction is a tooth extraction, but which do you prefer; with or without the codeine jabs?? The jabs that numbs your entire mouth prior to extraction.

I implore that our government make our Law governing capital punishment, more HUMANE, even though there is no lesson to be learnt from death by the condemned soul.

I think they were trying to be more humane too ....

the drop method of hanging is definitely more humane than say, electrocution or the firing squad .... thing is people often get confused from the type that people commit suicide with ... (you know, the one where you tie a rope up a tree and kick away the chair ) ... now that one is a nasty death ....

I'm not sure if the lethal injection method would be any improvement though ..... if it' s implemented

reminds me of china, they charge the cost of execution to the family of the one executed, dunno how many RMB for a bullet.

I guess the humanitarian aspect of this extends beyond a quick death for the condemned as well .... the condemned's families get back a nice, whole body with no overt signs of trama, no burn marks from electric shocks, no bullet holes ... it's unfortunate that the criminals' families has to pay for their crimes as well (but i suppose the victims' families are victims too ) ..... but i suppose getting back a body with no obvious signs of trama would make things easier for them eh ...

And for those who think lethal injection is > hanging, then it's really a relative choice.

As soon as someone discovers another method to execution which appears far more humane then the current methods, people are going to scorn the existing ways and jump ship to the new.

the equipment and accessories. hanging doesnt require much.

okie ... perhaps an electric chair may be expensive ... but i was googling on the US death penalty the other day ... and one of the state's electric chair was home made ! .... as for the firing squad .... expensive ? ... Question ... bullets cost 50cents each ... and a prison already has guns for their guards, no ? ... Confused

I still think we chose hanging out of humanitarian considerations
