What is the market price and scrap value (now and 3 yrs later) of a Honda Civic Esi (

Me 1st time buyer, so pretty lost.

R u sure the Esi have 3 yrs left? I don't think so. Esi (known also as EG) stopped production in 95, and chnge to SiR.

Therefore counting back, at most the Civic Esi should left only 2 yrs at most. What's the number plate?

Anyway, me not too sure abt the scrap valur of the car, but should be ard the region of 15k.

Will tell you if the car is worth buying if you can confirm the reg date of the car. Anyway, I'll only base on the depreciation and the car make, not the condition.

Sorry is the Honda Civic EXI 4M model. Is a 1996 car with $15,121 (OVM), owner plans to sell about $31K, the intended deregistration date is May 2003. The COE is until 2006 (10 yrs)

Hi Ernest,

if the OMV of the car is abt 15k, then the parf should be abt 12k.

31000-12000=19000 of depreciation over 3 yrs, which end up abt 6.3k (sorry, not exact cos dunnoe which mnth of 96 the car belong to).

6.3k of depreciation per yr, hmmmm.....seems a bit high to me cos an EXI does not hold a Vtec engine. In another word, the engine is one grade lower then Vtec (no offence to Exi drivers).

The other day I saw a Honda City Vtec in the 2nd hand market, depreciation per yr only abt 5.2-5.5k!

Maybe, ask that guy to sell you at 29k. Then can consider lor....... or, to be more precise, let me know the mnth of the car, dec 96 or jan 96 etc.

EXI not beri good leh… SOHC without vtec.. its exactly the same model as the bbdc car no power one.. u might as well get a EG9.. dohc with vtec..

Saw in e classified ads 93' ESI renewed COE going for 35.8k. Called and verified, they confirmed it is 35.8k(still neg) if payment in full
