Ban on Tobacco Imports and Sale of Tobacco Products

If i heard correctly over radio this morning, the authorities are talking about BANNING tobacco imports and its sale in Singapore, in 10 years time.

If they are really serious, and they pull this through, I WILL solute our government! I will continue to VOTE for them if they really BAN ciggies!!!

I'm a smoker, and I hope they can successfully do this. I WANT TO QUIT!

I want to QUIT, but don't know how. Please ban it!!!!

Many coffeeshop owners are going to call it a day once coffeeshop becomes no smoking even (Even with that small smoking area)

That guy from the cancer centre already said that even though he knows that it may not go through, he wanted the garmen to hear their voices.

Agreed. They earn lotsa revenue from tobacco products. Y do you think they wanna ban it?

Why must take ten years? Why can't the gov ban it over night or let the existing stock to be cleared and ban it immediately. Why chewing gum can just ban overnight? I'm a heavy smoker...I would be grateful to the gov if they could ban it immediately.

It all about Money.
Money face government. Freaking is the word. Mad But, please do not indirectly jack up taxes, levies and etc.
