Stop Whining campaign

Dear All,

I would like to start this "Stop Whining Campaign" for the future of sg and maybe for some basic justice for singapore citizen

every now and then when we got complain about sg policy, some smart alec will come tell us to stop whining and do something about it besides complaining.... but in sg... there is really nothing we can do about besides complaining unless of cos u want to be sue or be jail...some recent e.g 1) 4 ppl protest 2)white elephant 3)blogging by a ex scholar case....

so I have decided that there is no point to "whine" anymore unless my below suggestion is considered by our government, change it and i will be part of Singapore again, voice out my views and do something for our country, if not anything else is NATO. e.g remember those uncle at kopitiam complaining b4 the election?

please feel free to add any other things u guys will like our government to change for the next election.

It is unlikely big brother will even respond to your suggestion as it is 'beneath them'.

But is remains paramount that the new generations continue to speak up, whether openly at ministerial forums, web blogs or letters to the press. It is best to continue to voice your dissatisfactions through any legal means possible and not let the sweeping conduct of the govt knock you down.

Yup,some ppl might think that this type "complain or whining" is no use in the internet.But let us not forget,those PAP MP or family members,relatives n friends will also surf internet too.By criticising those stupid PAP leaders,their family members,relatives or friends might carry the information to them.At least,they will not blindly believes that our PAP leaders are so-called "elites".

Moreover,nowadays many Singaporeans do surf internet,we can also bring the information to the widespread population.We can exchange information with them n share their discontent about our government.I am sure no one likes to be look in an "eerie way",and i am sure now those PAP leaders are having alot of "despising eyesight" from the public nowadays.Look can kill!!! Cool

Where did Singaporeans get the idea that they were "whiners", "fussy employees" and "quitters"?

These were thrown up by the media and the labels stayed stuck to the minds of Singaporeans, because everytime someone wishes to express a view, he gets labelled as a "whiner". It is a psychological trick of the media because a pre-conceived negative image forms even before the message is heard.

Personally, i have been to many forums (like Sammyboy) and while there are many who are whining (due to frustration or other reasons), there are also many who offer highly reasonable views on a variety of subjects. Indeed, i was able to bounce off quite a few ideas from their replies. Anyway, expressing a view is hardly whining --- on internet forums, it gives a guage on how the Internet community views the problem.
